TheUnspokenWords.com is built to collect as little as possible. This policy explains exactly what is collected, what is not, and how it is used.
What We Collect
- Google account identifier and email address — collected only when you choose to sign in with Google. Used solely to identify active subscribers so the site can display a thank-you instead of a support prompt.
- Stripe customer and subscription identifiers — collected when you leave a tip or start a subscription. Used solely to manage your payment and subscription status.
- Submitted message text — stored anonymously in the database. No name, account, or identifying information is linked to your submission.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, or demographic information. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party marketing scripts. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.
- No cookies beyond a session cookie used to maintain your sign-in state
- No behavioral tracking or browsing history
- No device fingerprinting
- No third-party advertising networks
IP addresses pass through Cloudflare's infrastructure as part of normal web routing. They are not stored in our database and are not linked to message submissions.
How We Use What We Collect
- Google ID and email: used only to check whether you have an active subscription, so the site knows whether to show you a support prompt or a thank-you message.
- Stripe data: used only to process and manage tips and subscriptions. Stripe handles all payment processing; we store only the identifiers they provide.
- Message text: displayed anonymously to site visitors in the message rotation. We do not know who wrote any message.
Third Parties
We use three external services to operate this site. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data on their end.
Google
Handles authentication when you sign in with Google. We receive your account identifier and email address from them.
Stripe
Processes all payments and subscriptions. We do not handle or store payment card information directly.
Cloudflare
Hosts this site and routes all traffic. Standard infrastructure-level data applies per their privacy policy.
Data Retention
Submitted messages remain in the database unless removed through the reporting system or by the site administrator. If you signed in with Google, your account record remains in the database while your subscription is active. If you cancel, your record is retained but your subscription status is marked inactive.
We do not currently offer a self-service data deletion tool. If you would like your account record or a message you submitted removed, contact us.
Children
This site is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
